Coming from an expressive and creative family where acting, dance, cullinary arts and music were prevalent on the family CV, I was bound to take up a career in the arts. From a young age, I knew that I wanted to be an actress and wanted to train to the highest level in my craft so I embarked upon a journey which would lead me through a convaluted and contrived route to where I am today.

I started off at about five at a local dancing class as many children do and learnt my basics in tap and ballet, when I was twelve I joined the acting classes at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. As I got older, I progressed through school and eventually left Guildhall at eighteen which left me able to go onto The City Lit. I was working in theatres from fifteen, at first Sadler's Wells and then later became part of the Stage Management team at the King's Head. All the while I was learning my trade, both backstage behind the scenes and in front of the audience. I worked for a while in television as a production assistant and then on the technical side for a while. At twenty five, I felt ready to complete my acting training and applied to drama school at which point I was accepted into The Oxford School of Drama. On graduating, I got my first agent and a job in children's theatre.

Since then I have moved on and gained valuable experience in the industry and never stopped learning and improving my potential. I am starting to move into voice overs, producing and making my own work. I have started my own theatre company, Dark Theatre and will be producing the kind of work that I really want to do, challenging myself as an actor and my audiences' preconceptions. I believe that theatre is a didactic art form and one where cultural and social changes can be brought about in an entertaining and evocative manner.
